There is a plan to turn that intersection into a roundabout but not sure if this is the spot you are asking about.

I figured a round about was coming but it's the Northeast corner. They have it all cleared and property stake but that's the only corner that is clear. The Northwest corner is the high school and then the Southwest corner in the southeast corner both privately owned I believe. I was wondering if it was a stage in area for the roundabout but I was also hoping they were going to put in turn lanes there

The northwest corner (an entire quarter section - 157 acres) was recently purchased by a local homebuilder, Johnston Builders.

Thank you. It is just wierd because it is only the corner, maybe an acre and they kept the tree line surrounding their square.

They haven't even rezoned any of that property, it's still all zoned for agriculture.

So, I suspect that small area may be used for roundabout construction staging.
