We've been looking forward to Birdies opening, so we tried it today.
The food was good, but it's too expensive. Twenty four wings, two drinks (Root Beer & Tea) and a large side of Mac & Cheese was $74.00 before tax and tip.
We tried all four wet sauced wings but the guy who brought them out was unable to tell us which was which, so we had to guess and still aren't sure what are favorites were. Two of the options had some sauce on them, the other two had no visible sauce. The receipt indicated that all were sauced and not dry seasoning. They were all good, though.
The best part was the loaded mac & cheese. They use those fairly large macaroni shells, which I don't prefer, but I think one of the cheeses was smoked, probably the cheddar. It gave the dish an amazing smoky flavor that I loved.
If they weren't so expensive, we would probably go pretty regularly, but given the prices, we probably won't go that often.
On the menu Pete posted, the wings are multiples of six (6, 12 and 24). They only let us split an order between two seasonings, so we had to order two 12 wings, to get all four sauces.
