There have been a lot of good developments happening on the east side for the Black community. Cathy O'Connor, Mayor Holt, and Nikki Nice have been pushing for revitalizing this area. I am sure he won't have a problem getting support from the city on this one. Surely there is a grant out there and OCURA can get involved to help with the redevelopment.
I recall a story in the Oklahoman about this property within the last 2 months. I recall the roof is gone and it has been open to the elements, The building has been unsecured for several years. Seems like it is basically 4 walls and some land on a property that is family owned without deep pockets. Appears it was a happening place back in the 1960s-80s with a nice mid-century design.
