We're 18 months into a global pandemic, there's a limit to how much sympathy one has for people who refuse any and all measures to fight it.

What did he say that is controversial?

That Edmond church event looks like a superspreader on steroids.

Considering which church it is, I expect they've been holding maskless meetings for the past 18 months.

I was really surprised yesterday at our local Neighborhood Walmart. Where virtually no masks have been seen in over a month I would estimate 60 to 70 percent were masked up.

“ We said this would happen but nobody listened, now the vaccinated are going to die and cause the unvaxxed to die as well”

“ i think the unvaxxed will probably be doing better but time will tell tbh”

“ Vaccine compromises immune system most likely. Unvaccinated should be safer. Depending on age and health though.”

“ yep its the vaxed who are vulnerable as had innate immune system blunted and messed with”

The lunacy is astounding. Unfortunately I came across this post because my brother re-tweeted it (anti-vaxer)
The canaries in the coal mine are the initial test subjects for the covid vaccines starting out from over a year ago. I haven't heard of them dropping dead.

Pretty crazy that the "greatest country in the world" is operating in such a way that the rest of the world is like "DO NOT WANT".
Nah they don't need to come here to see that democracy isn't worth it. In China they call it democrazy because it's chaos. They use Korea as an example because every few years they have a president that ends up jail or they use something like Taiwan legislature fighting. So trust me on this they already know what to believe and were told it by everyone around them. The same way that they don't believe they're capitalist they say China is communist even though if you walk into any high school, college or factory dormitory everyone aspires to be rich and be a boss. The same if you talk to random people in an industrial park who wanna sell you things you can literally buy 10,000 of whatever item you want and you turn around and there are people waiting to give you multiple options for shipping.

I honestly wouldn't believe the hype of most of random news story's like that they don't need to come here and see what's happened the past year and half to know democracy is bad for them. They have douyin videos, weibo story's and wechat articles already telling them that. Some things are completely untrue and other things are true. But the truth they wont find in those articles and stuff they learn in school are the things about China that completely suck and are unfair.

Even the fact the rich Chinese can afford to send their kids to study in the west a testament to their capitalist system. It's also a testament to the fact they just don't have enough good universities they are few and far between and insanely difficult to get into. Most Universities wouldn't even be on the level of OCCC because of the fact that it's impossible to fail. They don't want the system here because they've told their entire lives the communist party is whats best for china but maybe thats actually true.

*I can't wait to return to our authoritarian government that is currently running genocidal "re-education" centers for Uighur Muslims, destroying democracy and persecuting pro-democracy citizens in Hong Kong, and literally has a dystopian social credit score system that requires citizens to say positive things about the government* nah nah nah

The U.S. democratic system has deep inequities and is unstable currently, but China is a worst case scenario for what the U.S. could become.

People in US who refuse to get vaccinated by September 1st will be given negative social credit scores.

People with negative social credit scores will be unable to enter public buildings and employers premises.

    Thems the rules!

Just went to my doctor for a check up.

He said that currently vaccinated people that get sick with delta have like 3-4 days of sniffles and coughs. Some are showing stomach symptoms.

Unvaccinated people who get sick with the delta variant: sore throat, then coughing, then ventilator.

We're having a global pandemic, you may have heard about it on the news. It'd be nice if people could cooperate on ending it.

McDonald's makes masks mandatory for all customers, staff.

Last week, major companies including Alphabet Inc's (GOOGL.O) Google, Uber Technologies Inc (UBER.N) and Facebook Inc (FB.O) said all their U.S. employees must get vaccinated to step into offices.

Ba da ba ba bah... I'm loving it!

I like this trend and I hope it continues. In fact, I hope every company, airline, event center, etc, starts refusing access to unvaccinated customers too. It's coming eventually, I hope.

Maybe... although currently only a few states included businesses in their bans (most are limited to government agencies and publicly funded orgs). I'm not even sure that a ban on a business requirement would hold up. Even then, I think the public has shifted enough that there might not be the political will to push new bans in states that don't currently have one (such as Oklahoma). 6 months ago, you'd be 100% correct, but now? Not so sure.

Is there an easy way to identify if a person is vax or unvax from a distance?

I'm fine with places/venues requesting to see my vaccine card. I have it laminated and ready to go, and I also keep a digital copy on my phone. I'm going to a convention later this month that is checking cards and putting vax status on badges so it will be visible (cue the panic!). I've heard of some venues doing wrist bands. I'd rather they just require the vax altogether though.

People getting vaccinated is up. https://twitter.com/KOCODillon/statu...763222024?s=20 Now would be a good time to really have a hard push and make it as easy as possible. Walmart parking lots, mobile busses anything.

Whatever happened to the drive thru Covid vaccination center that the county was building?
