does anybody recall what flag will fly for the hotel portion? I really hope we get an exclusive like a Ritz or Four Seasons or even Conrad. ..
Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
From Tietsort LLC which is the glass contractor:
noice.
I wonder if the missing or clear "panels" are meant to be that way for ventilation.
Anyway, the glass curtain does show that this 'new' building could also be converted to office at some point.

I love history displays like that, I am glad they are doing that.
Just as I was graduating from business school at OU in 1982, I interviewed at First National Bank to be part of their management training program.
I ended up taking another job, but I believe that was the last round of hiring for that program which had spanned decades. Around the same time, the oil industry plummeted, Penn Square Bank collapsed and before long the once-mighty First National Bank went into a death spiral and was sold. The surviving bank (First Interstate) then moved to the newly-opened Leadership Square around 1985 and the Great Banking Hall was empty and it's remained that way until hopefully later this year. That's more than 35 years.
Still, it was fun to interview with various parties and see the inside workings of that bank, something I would have never seen otherwise. Didn't know at the time it would all come crumbling down very quickly.
The garage windows that were missing or not tinted are getting fixed today. Thought those with OCD might need to know this
Lol
Yay

Next is public hearing and a resolution approving a substantial amendment to the FY 20-21 Consolidated Action Year Plan. This will seek $11 million in Section 108 Loan for the First National Center.
The city has put a lot of support into this project, which is apparently coming along nicely. Brent Bryant calls this a very difficult project. It has a 600 unit garage, some residences (generating ad valorem), and hotel (sales tax).
The Section 108 loan is the loan guarantee component of the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG).
The loan is guaranteed by HUD to the City, allowing the City to downstream loans at low rates.
I am so anxious to see the building lit at night once finished!
The article above shows it will be an Autograph By Marriott.

Yes and run by the Coury group which runs the Colcord and Ambassador.
The Ambassador is also an Autograph hotel.
was hoping that it would be a step up from Autograph (which usually are very very nice hotels in themselves ) and be a "Luxury-collection" hotel .. https://the-luxury-collection.marriott.com/our-hotels/
I was told this parking garage will open starting next week. First step in reopening the entire project.
Wow. From the parking garage alone you can already tell how amazing this project really is.
I've never seen a parking garage in OKC look so good.

Is the background building the one people refer to as the other building that looks like first national, same architect maybe?
