I'm in Phase 3, but haven't received an email yet. Weren't they supposed to go out this morning?
If you don't get an email, just use https://vaccine-alerts.com/ and try to find a Walmart or pharmacy location. My wife went this morning and they didn't even ask any questions about qualifications.
I checked this morning. Walmarts in newcastle and anadarko had tons of spots open. link to walmart. just change locations https://www.walmart.com/cp/1228302
^^^^ I must be as dumb as a box of rocks, but I can't figure out how to find out which has spots open.
For those who signed up through the portal, did you receive an email when your window opened for the 2nd shot?
Bunch of open spots at OCCC on Thursday right now. J&J and Moderna (the sign-up site lets you choose which one you want). https://www.vaxokc.com/
I just switched to Mercy for tomorrow morning and canceled my Shawnee. Getting the Pfizer now
There's no need to be rude and ugly to me. That's uncalled for.
With this J&J vaccine, lots of people in later groups will be fully immunized before people in earlier groups since they have to wait almost a month for a 2nd shot and the J&J people get it all at once.
Things are starting to look really good for this summer starting to regain some real normalcy.
My husband did not get an alert for the second shot and his second shot was not scheduled at the time of the first shot. We had to go through the state portal to get an appointment for the second dose. We did the first in Red Rock and the second in Clinton about 30 days apart. A friend of ours did have the second appointment made at the time of the first shot and he received an email reminder.
I got the sign up link tonight, found an appointment in Blackwell tomorrow.
Vaccine-Alerts is good, but isn't necessarily correct. It's pretty close though. I noticed the walmart/sam's wasn't always accurate as walmart/sam's showed you could schedule an appointment, but once you click, it says no vaccines are left.
The signup link worked well. Getting the Pfizer.
On vaccine-alerts.com you definitely have to watch for openings and jump on them. The inaccuracy you see is just not getting on an opening faster than other people. When I got our appointments I did go through a few "appointments available" texts that by the time I got on them they were gone. I can't believe how many want to ignore or put down an easy way to get appointments.
For my first dose they said to ignore the email about booking the second appointment and just show up at the exact time 4 weeks later for the second dose. This was through the OSDH portal. Got a neato card though
Yes, things are looking really great! It's so exciting. I wished I could have got J&J for this very reason. Having said that, 2-3 weeks after your first Moderna or Pfizer vaccine you are pretty much vaccinated, right? I plan to do more research soon, but this is why many advocated for delaying second shot to get more people that first level of vaccination.
Anybody else think that they should go ahead and open up phase 4 at this point? Relatively speaking, there are quite a bit fewer people in the group at this point. Why not go ahead and open it to everyone since the older folks have all had the opportunity?
I got my first vaccine shot Monday using the Walgreen's app and it was incredibly easy. I booked on Friday for Monday and they had plenty of appointment slots. I live and work downtown and I got my vaccine at the 44th and S Shields store. I also made the appointment for my second shot at the same time. When I arrived they had all of my paperwork waiting for me. I filled out the forms and I got my shot all within 10 minutes. I waited the 15 minutes to make sure I had no reaction and then I was free to go. I highly recommend .
