This building is the old Oklahoma City clinic and is being converted to OU Health Partners. Work is already underway. Renderings are available on the JHBR Architecture page (link below).

I'm probably in the minority here, but im not a fan of the design. It's one of those hospital takes where it's painfully obvious that they slapped some crap on an old building. I dont understand why they wouldn't make better use out of the atrium than that too.

For me, the worst part is that silver section that's slapped on the side. It's just not very much effort on the architect to blend the old to the new IMO. When you have a fully bricked building, you use BRICK to blend the designs and then accent with the metal features to step in to the new look . The Red sections on the side sort of make the effort...sort of.

Regardless, i'm glad to see someone doing something with the place. OCC has fallen hard over the last 20 years. Our pediatrician used to be housed by OCC and she and the medical team were great. But the back office team was beyond stupid. Things slightly improved when they converted to a real EMR in ECW, but that's one of the crappiest ones out there for small offices. But it's cheap. We have several of our clients on that platform and it (and their support) is crap. The pediatrician group for us moved to Integris and it's been wonderful since then. Much better EMR in EPIC, AWESOME staff on the front and back sides. And their old OCC clinic building, much like this one is sitting mostly empty, oversized from what it's needs ever where going to be, and difficult to fill with anything other than doctor's offices. Here's to hoping the MWC one gets gobbled up by Saints now that they manage the MWC hospital.

The initial space for this plan fell through, but this seems like a nice improvement, but I think building new to better suit the campus' needs would have been much better. This would have been a prime location for them to construct a replacement for the s**thole that is the Presbyterian Professional Office Building while opening up that location for something else.

Not currently. Metal Panels are supposed to start going up in March. On the $15M budget, keep in mind that is a 150,000 SF building. Spread that $15M across 150K sf and that's only $100/sf .
