Hospitalizations are now at 974 (+122), an all-time high by a fair margin.
Same for ICU: 336 (+14).
PLEASE be careful out there. There may be no room at the inn.
From what I’m seeing and hearing from various polling places across the city is that there is very little, if any, social distancing occurring. Little mask use too, from the areas I have heard about.
All this combined with long wait times indoors will spawn a major super spreader event, I’m afraid.
I voted at First Methodist Church downtown this morning. Long lines, but everybody was masked and everybody was social distancing. It took about an hour to get to vote.
I passed by two polling places and there were long lines outside. I don't know about inside. But what I did see were most all wearing masks and distancing. I was actually pretty surprised.
What’s it like inside? Are they limiting how many people are going in?
1,331 new cases today; 7-day rolling average now 1,160.
21 additional deaths, 1 off our all-time high. 7-day rolling average now 14.6, an all-time high.
As previously posted, both hospitalizations and ICU are at all-time highs as of last evening.
So at my place the voters seemed to be doing the limiting on their own. The check in spot was right inside the door, and there was an x about 10 feet back, that people were waiting at until they were called up to check in. Everyone else was lined up from there, and there were about 12 of the voting stands setup, spread out into a larger area than is normally used at this location. For me it was a pretty quick in and out, and took about half an hour at 10:30. Everyone but one jerk was wearing a mask, and that one person made a big show of carrying it in their hand until they signed in, put it on for 30 seconds, and then immediately (and very loudly and obviously) took the mask right off before filling out their ballot and submitting it and stomping out huffing and puffing giving everyone in line dirty looks. Most of the line just broke out in laughter at their immature display. These people really are sad.

It's purely a function of more infections.
The number of positive cases is way higher than any other time and hospitalizations and deaths always follow.
What's really alarming is the average deaths line is climbing at a higher rate than the average case line was a month ago which is supposed to be about the lag time. And there's been no undulation in the average deaths line for awhile. It's just climbing. That's very scary.
Everyone in line near 23rd and Classen was masked up and distancing which was good to see.
Much more contagious than the flu. I wonder how doctors are going to handle it this winter. Flu test first than if negative covid test or are they going to go for a covid test first if you negative they will just say you have the flu. I would think flu test first though as you get results same day. However can you test positive for both the flu and covid? I imagine you can
11/3/2020
1026 persons hospitalized (+52 from yesterday)
349 in ICU (+13 from yesterday)
17.3% of current hospitalizations statewide are covid-related
I don't have words for how scary this is.
Holy cow!! Just saw a news report from bice’s watch party, and wherever they are is packed full of people. I only saw the news anchor and a small number of other people wearing masks. Can you say, super spreader event. We have learned nothing from what happened in the White House.
Hospitalizations are now 1,026 (+52), surpassing yesterday's all-time high. The number has almost doubled in the last 6 weeks.
ICU at 349 (+13) another all-time high.
Inhofe's was the same way. Packed room with only a couple mask wearers. So sad and frustrating.
I'm reaching a point where some days I just don't care about anyone but me and mine. If people don't care why should I care about them. My wife doesn't leave the house except for work and anywhere I go I soak in sanitizer, wear one of my N95 masks, stay as far away from people as possible and don't stay anywhere any longer than absolutely necessary. So I'm reasonably sure we're safe.
Then I come back to my senses and know I'm just not wired to not care about people.
1,246 new cases today; 7-day rolling average now 1,231.
17 additional deaths; 7-day rolling average now 15.1, an all-time high.
As previously posted, hospitalizations and ICU are both at all-time highs.
With the election getting all of the attention I think a lot of people missed that the US had over 100k new cases today. Scary.
It’s November 3rd, why are there still cases?
