I hope someone let the hospitals know that, especially since no one in government is willing to actually release the proposed "surge plan".

    1,373 new cases today.

7-day rolling average now 1,221, down slightly from yesterday's all-time high.

    13 more reported deaths.

    956 hospitalizations (+46), an all-time high. That is a 65% (!) increase in just 3 weeks.

    ICU 313 (+16), 4 off the all-time high.

It's worrying to see the hospitalization and ICU numbers going up so quickly. Some people have been waving off the total case numbers as not being as big of a deal since the hospitalizations numbers hadn't caught up yet, but we're now getting into scary territory already.

Very worrying. As Pete pointed out hospitalizations have gone up 65% in the last three weeks. The last three weeks of September new cases only went up about half that. That should be the time frame for current hospitalizations. That's a very scary trend and if it continues I really do hope there's a plan to handle it. But I don't believe there really is.

OKC is supposedly in Tier 2 surge now. Though the plan isn’t really rolled out. We are in trouble guys. Stay safe!

I’m in quarantine now as we were exposed at work. Getting tested tomorrow as that is 5 days. Hoping for a negative!

$130 for one test? or are there multiple tests in the kit?

Wow! Just wow. I may be behind on this because I haven't paid any attention to home test approval but I thought we were a ways away from this.

Had to go pick up my car at a dealership near 240 & Walker. On the way back NW I went by the Fairgrounds. Sadly both Mathis Bros and Bob Mills were PACKED. If everyone is being careful fine but I doubt it. The Fairgrounds parking for AAOTH was FULL. Based on observations from the many years I've gone with my wife they are not limiting attendance. I'm sure if they're not limiting attendance they also aren't enforcing much of any precautions. This makes me very sad.

Are you symptomatic or do you have to have a negative before going back to work?

As the US hit over 84,000 and Europe is seeing record numbers, there are predictions that the US is on course for over 100K cases a day. It sure is looking like Okla could soon hit over 2K a day. Ugh. We are in serious trouble folks.

8 months into the virus and don't understand why people aren't being more cautious about not catching it, unless they're confident the illness will only be brief and mild, if anything at all. I wonder if it would have made any difference had Gov. Stitt got so sick with it that he had to be in ICU for least a few days.

Maybe I'm different by not wanting to risk it any more than I currently am. So yesterday for less risk I went to the Texas Roadhouse at a time I thought it wouldn't be busy. However, it was 4:45pm and it already had a good sized crowd. I was glad that different from my last visit that there were plexiglass panels installed between the tables. I hope that works to reduce the spread. But unlike at Mexico Joe's the waiter did not ask me to have a mask on when leaving the table.

At least Stillwater is going in the opposite direction with only 5 new cases today. It's often been in the double digits.

No, Stitt didn’t need to get sick, he simply needed to be a competent leader who can listen to experts. Him and all his enablers have likely resulted in hundreds of people dying. And he’d probably win re-election tomorrow. Of course, Holt also provided excuses and no leadership at the onset of the pandemic. These numbers are an indictment on the entire state.

Herd immunity here we come. 111,685 that's not counting all that have had it never got tested. Some say times that number by 10. 1,111,685 4 million live in the state we are 25 percent the way there. Why aren't more people taking it seriously? 311 in the ICU out of 4 million people. What percentage is that? While it's bad I can see why many think MEH. #missme

Totally ignorant appraisal and lack of understanding of health, viruses and logic.

Every 3-4 days the same old “herd immunity” crap post.

We’re not even close to herd immunity.
