Unfortunately, there are exceptions to the rule that college kids don't get severely sick from COVID as this one from OSU can candidly tell you. He came down with it bad last June after working in a bar and still is having lingering after effects with breathing. Once again, whether you're young or old, this COVID virus is not something to fool around with. You have no idea if you'll get very sick from it or not. I hope plenty of college students have read his story:

Not sure but don't think he was wearing a mask since it was a phone conversation. But I will check when I do go to my appointment. He told me that cloth masks were not made to stop viruses but N95 masks were made for that protection. He said N95 mask-Latex gloves and hand sanitizer

New emergency bar rules now in effect in Stillwater. No more dancing allowed, so gotta go to Tumbleweed to do that.

While it is true that cloth masks don’t stop ALL virus and they weren’t DESIGNED FOR stopping all viruses, they do in fact help. If you’ve read and researched, the virus is carried on droplets you expirate from your mouth. Many of those droplets are stopped by the mask, ergo the virus attached is too. The masks also slow the velocity of breath and reduce the throw of the more minute particulates that may get through the more porous media. Therefore cloth masks are significantly effective, though not DESIGNED to be TOTALLY effective. That’s why masks + distancing of 6’ plus is the correct strategy.
I’m wondering how many anti maskers only use hepa filters on their ACs since regular filters don’t catch everything.
When it comes to the covid, I guess common sense just isn’t common.
OSU football players are pleading with their fellow students to get it together.

746 new cases today up from 705 last Thursday.
10 more reported deaths.
I believe this was posted once by somebody else, a long time ago, in the political thread, thought I'd post it here.
The public deserves the most complete data available about COVID-19 in the US. No official source is providing it, so we are.
There was a study recently that pointed to the effectiveness of even homemade cloth masks at stopping this virus. Yes, the virus is so tiny that it can sneak through these masks, but the point that you all are missing is that the virus does not free float on its own through the air. It’s almost always attached to spit droplets of some sort. That’s how the move from one person to the next. These cloth masks are more than capable of filtering out these droplets. Even still. It may allow only the smallest aerosol droplet through or around, but the viral load at that point is much diminished. If I can find the study tonight, I will post it.
A couple comments.
1. Doctors are certainly better sources than most, but I have heard lots of doctors—and friends' doctors—give incorrect COVID information. I am not saying don't listen to doctors, I'm just saying they're not epidemiologists and not all keep up with emerging research... and some doctors are also prone to misinformation. And there's a lot of different types of doctors with different areas of which they know more or less... not all doctors are the same. Anyway, it's always wise to corroborate sources and info from people, researchers, etc.
2. I will say that I made my way through my college campus yesterday and every single student was wearing a mask outdoors. They really didn't even need to be wearing them a lot of the time as they were a good distance from other people. It's good to see at least some young people are taking this seriously to protect others.
Here's the WH Corona Virus Task Force summary that hasn't been released and the recommendations that Stitt is ignoring. No wonder the media was not allowed to hear from Dr. Birx.

According to docs obtained by @publicintegrity, the White House is recommending that Gov. Stitt implement a statewide mask mandate, close bars, and limit restaurant seating; Stitt says Dr. Birx made no such recommendations during her recent visit

This is false, and it is a false choice. There are more than two outcomes possible here. You seem to swing from one extreme pole to the other. Shut everything down or we are all going to get it. Other countries have proven that this is not the case.
We can and should be able to live with this virus and minimize the spread of it to almost exclusively the most foolhardy among us. Alas, we do not have competent or sane leadership on the federal level, and we have either clueless or delusional leadership on the state level.
But to say it's only we all get it or we get the vaccine is not true at all. It's just that we have a lot of people among us, in our city and state, who refuse to accept a new normal and are trying to force people into the frame of what they think life should look like, when there are workable alternatives to it.
