Social Capital is shutting down for a few days to deep clean and get their staff tested. They had multiple staff members test positive for coronavirus.
What do they mean by “deep clean”? Just cleaning will suffice. COVID-19 isn’t hiding for days in a closed restaurant. Research increasingly suggests fomite transmission on surfaces does not seem to be a primary method of spreading. Businesses really should dedicate energy to developing clear protocols like one way walk ways, no contact ordering, plexiglass for ordering, cooling outdoor spaces with misters, etc. Not that cleaning is bad, but it’s not the most effective way to stop the spread.
They are probably bringing in a company like "Virus Control" to do their thing. That is a "deep clean."
