    Lots of variables really.
My point, in a nutshell, is that the idea of reporting of contracting to symptoms to testing to results to hospitalization doesn’t look like the month process it was in March and April. At least for the most part.

According to the weekly epidemiology report, it’s about a week from symptoms to hospitalization. Check out page 9 for good stats on the timeline: https://coronavirus.health.ok.gov/si...epi_report.pdf

So for those of you that hate mask and don't want to wear a mask and think they don't work would you be okay with another shut down. If hospitals start filling up it could be a possibility. I think that's the only way another shutdown happens but it is possible

Just last night, we had a political rally in this state where the President of the U.S. had previously mocked people for wearing masks and our governor and two state senators sat in the middle of a big indoors crowd during by far the biggest spike in local cases during a global pandemic, none of them wearing face coverings.

No way is this ever going to be mandatory and the majority in our state are merely following the example of their 'leaders'.

Just got back from Home Depot and only seen a few people wearing a mask. Maybe 2% seriously. I would say that it appears that most have given up listening to the so called experts. This thing is just going to have to run it's course it appears. Hopefully they can save a good percentage of the ones that get really sick with this virus before they come up with a vaccine.

So very true and sad. I don’t want to get political. I know that’s a no no. But I’ve been a Trump and Stitt supporter. Even if it’s because the alternatives were way worse. It’s getting hard to toe that line now.

I have. So it still looks to me like the “month” from test result reporting to hospitalization isn’t the case currently. More like a week to ten days or so.

I am sure one of them will get sick eventually.

Politicians also get immaculate medical care so and the end of the day it is a wash.

Well, if no leaders come down with the virus, it will be like they have been setting a good example. Maybe it will take both Trump and Pence hospitalized with the virus at the same time to get a lot more people to wear masks. I hope Sen. Lankford doesn't become ill, because he was the only elected leader I noticed who was wearing a mask at the rally.

Ah yes, light fines are definitely communism. And is this before or after you claim Bill Gates will inject us with microchips?

Exactly, no god fearing capitalist country has ever assessed fines.

100% support mandatory mask wearing. It will only happen when/if it gets so bad the hospitals are overflowing with dead people in refrigerated trailers and our so called leaders losing some friends and relatives.

Epidemiologists have saved thousands of lives. They are experts. Unfortunately, we have a public that is scientifically illiterate and struggles to understand their research and advice.

Or just like regular public health laws in the United States that you follow everyday.

Do you have any idea what socialism is? It seems like you’re trying to reference communism, which is obviously absurd.

Lol. “Human nature” like many countries that have done this successfully. I guess they’re not humans.

Wearing masks I just needs to become normal and people will do it. Laws change behavior all the time.

Good COVID-19 policy is not that hard, but man, people are determined to make this long and hard. And it will be. A lot of people will suffer needlessly. And it’s going to hurt the economy along the way.

Agreed. Peddling nonsense in a Pandemic should not be happening on this forum.

    Right.

Not sure why a lot of people think completely ignoring the threat is the best way to keep the economy going.

If everybody got on board with social distancing & proper mask wearing, a lot of life could go back to normal for 95% of the population. We keep the numbers depressed & people start to gain more & more confidence in entering back in to society.

If we ignore the virus even exists, more & more people get sick, the numbers go through the roof & a large % of the population makes a conscious choice to not participate in the economy even without a forced government lock down.
