Mandatory mask order? Good Luck enforcing that.
478 today. We’re in trouble.
That is what happens when people refuse to social distance and possibly wear a mask. The big one is social distancing esp at stores and resturants. I have been talking myself hoarse at stores begging people to social distance. I am older with a bad knee and people refuse to social distance. I find myself spending 90% of my time dodging people. Yes I do try to do curbside pick up but when looking for parts to fix something around your house its not always an option. Most think older women only shop for clothes or food, not true, that is only about 20% of what I shop for. clothes only about 1% I hate clothing shopping. I am good with 5 pairs of the same jeans, and tops the same in 5 different colors. But please, please social distance. maybe now people will find the time to social distance shopping. People said to me, " I don't have the time for that".
Or by Tues. I hate to think what the numbers by Fri will be. Stores will have to enforce social distancing. If you do not social distance then you get thrown out. I was talking to a friend of mine in Penn. , The store by my friend are strict, no respect for social distancing then you are told to leave. Also some require masks in order to shop.
Thank you Bill. I missed where you posted that, but I remember it now. My niece just recently tested positive and she describes the same pressure in her chest and run down no energy feeling, and loss of taste and smell. Her dad describes some of the same things but he had them back in December as well.
Yep, another record with 478 new cases reported today.
That's 3,310 new positives in just the last 13 days.
I cannot believe what Stitt said yesterday in an interview. Basically, “We are good!” Unreal. It was reported that hospitalizations are going up too. Any numbers Pete?
I wonder if they care. I talked to a friend the other day and the reply was, just more cases due to increased testing.
Was at Super Cao Nguyen this morning. It was interesting to see the different cultures and how serious they took it. Most of the asians had masks and some had faceshields. Non-asians not to much. a couple masks.
Just got back from taking my kids to their swim lessons at Goldfish. I was the only person, employee or customer, wearing a mask. We need a massive attitude shift, and fast.
Agree but I brought up making mask mandatory on a news 9 facebook post and the people started to attack. People don't wear them right, they don't work, it can still get into your eyes any excuse possible. While I agree with people don't wear them right it's still better than nothing.
Does anyone know, positively, how long it takes new hospitalizations to be reported. If test results are a week to two weeks after the sample collection but hospitalizations are reported pretty much currently then today’s hospitalizations are the result of our first days of really big positive test numbers. If hospitalizations are delayed also then we’re still seeing hospitalizations from before the spike. Some death reports are delayed and some are current. The reports give date ranges for deaths.
It really depends on speed of testing.
For us, reporting of results for samples we submitted went from 9 days to 2.
OK. I don’t see why hospitalizations would be delayed. You’re admitted and bam, you’re on the report. So I would take from this that the hospitalizations and death numbers are not going up at the exponential rate that positive test results are. I see this as a good thing until proven otherwise.
It would depend on who is doing the testing and why. If your test is a part of being hospitalized, then they should report at the same time. But if you’re just being tested as surveillance, or if you have initial mild symptoms, then you could have a positive reported within a couple of days and then need hospitalization down the road.
Lots of variables really.
