It looks really nice in person.
Are my eyes deceiving me or is the east side glass checkered darker and lighter?
My eyes agree with your eyes
That darker glass is actually opaque.
Maybe this has already been said, but I feel like this building is in architectural communication with the Kerr McGee headquarters (Sandridge Building). The way the windows gofrom smaller to larger divisions specifically.
400 more jobs on top of the 550. https://oklahoman.com/article/566242...town-workforce
Guess what I read was legit. They signed a 10-year lease.
Awesome news!
Interesting detail in that article.
Burnett said Heartland is on track to fill up both buildings over the next year. The Broadway building, designed by architect Rand Elliott, is expandable with land to the north at the corner of NW 6.
“We kept that land to expand that building knowing growth was coming,” Burnett said. “The growth happened so fast and they needed the additional space so quickly we couldn’t get the additional land built in time for when the jobs were needed. We planned for expansion. We planned for it to happen. It just happened so fast.”
That expansion, Burnett said, remains an option.
When I heard about the additional 400 jobs, I began to wonder if it the building was expandable in some way or not. It would be nice if they could add height to it. Even just another 4 or 5 stories. I imagine the biggest hurdle there would be the elevator shaft. They would need to devise a plan to build up the elevator shaft first, and get it in operation as quickly as possible. I don't know if that's even possible. I need to drive up there sometime and see what land to the north that they're referring to. Would it be that bulldozed lot across 6th street? That seems awful small.
The should have bought Sandridge Tower in the first place.
I think they're done with the buckhoist and should be putting in the remaining glass soon, they were working on a Saturday in that area
I really love how this building is turning out. Fills in Automobile Alley so well. Now if we could get something of similar size on the other big lot across from Red Prime...

Wasn't there supposed to be a hotel built in this same area...there were a lot of comments on the design of the structure which would be on top of a parking garage
Just north of the building is currently used for staging as well. Will that be parking of some sort?
