You say the same for pretty much any development.

Like it or not, apartments are a very important housing stock in a city.

And if the owners decide to go section 8 or not.

I've said this before but I'll say it again.

I have lived in some very nice apartments over the years. Apartments that, foot by foot, cost me considerably more in rent than a comparable mortgage. Apartments that were exceptionally well-landscaped and cared for. Apartments can be a critical part of the housing stock for younger people, or people that are in transition (maybe getting a divorce or just living somewhere a couple of years because of a job etc.) It is not written in the constitution, the Bible or the stars that apartments have to be nasty and bad. They turn that way if the owners don't take care of their property or update them, or aren't sticklers about raising rents every year.

I look at the pictures above, though, and those apartments don't look all that nice. They seem kind of average, particularly for abutting up against what looks like an expensive subdivision.

Moving along. Also, looks like OnCue (foreground) is restarting.

Pete, do you know whether there will be a light installed for the OnCue and Route 66 Landing or not?

Not sure because it is so close to the signal just to the west.

However, with this development, OnCue and the large apartment complex that also uses this road, it may be needed.

Could still work if they sync it up properly (thinking of how Western/63rd and Western/Avondale lights work well together despite being only one block apart).

Learned from the developer that a traffic light will be going in here before the end of the year.

Also, Braum's owns the property highlighted below.

For the love of Pete (pun not intended) can we learn to time the damn thing BEFORE it is installed?

Braum’s and an OnCue? Add a Coffee Shop and the Traffic there is going to be absolutely insane.

Another Braum's? Are they not still thinking of putting on at Morgan road and I-40 where Ricky's was?

Morgan and I-40 is nowhere close to 66 and Kilpatrick. I just bought milk this weekend and the receipt advertises more stores opening and the desire to have more people applying for manager positions.

I guess not Mustang Road and i-40. Council Road i-40. Morgan Road i-40 and possible this location. Seem like 4 stores that are someone close to one another.

I actually prefer Braum's to be closer, more like gas stations. I will sometimes buy my other core food items at Braum's in a pinch or when I am picking up milk. Their food costs is often comparable to regular grocers.

This development is coming along nicely. I like the modern architecture of the buildings. Too bad the development won't eventually go all the way back to where that small lake is.

There is a small hospital, the offices for the development company, a few other small office buildings and a retail building (far west) that has a nail & spa place with the remainder available for lease.
