As I mentioned last week, I said this weekend could be the hottest OKC has seen so far this year. Today's moisture will help to prevent the air temperature from getting too out of hand, but it will make the heat index worse. So it will not only be one of the hottest actual air temperatures, but it will easily feel the hottest. This will be for both Saturday and Sunday.
This will be a "in a pool or indoors weekend".
Nice little drink from these weak showers associated with the tiny system moving across OK right now. Sun is already back out across W OK, though. So OKC should be in the sun again by late afternoon.
The real story is a break from 100s. We will be in the low 90s Wednesday and climb back into mid 90s by the weekend.

Good weather. Some relief is wonderful.
Very small chance of a thunderstorm or two later this evening across C OK. And again in the early morning hours Sunday. If anything does develop, it could be severe.
However, chance is low, and coverage will be extremely localized. Consider yourself lucky if you get rain.
How will Ian Drake's beloved Ridge of Death be around?
Nice light show to the south and west of Downtown this evening.
It is hot.
But on the plus side, temperature looks to drop a shade each day over the next week or so.
Temperature relief comes tomorrow. Slight chance of isolated shower and storm anywhere in the state for the next few days. Nothing significant expected.
We may be done with 100s.
Looks like we're about 7-10 days away from a real break from the heat, hopefully just in time for the holiday weekend.
My poor house by Tinker. Hardly got any rain. Figures, though. Glad the rest of the city got a nice drink.
There was a wicked storm that slammed through my place near Penn Square early last evening.
Very high winds and a near typhoon for a good 20 minutes or so.
2 inches in my rain gauge in a very short period of time.
Yep. Loud and a lot of rain in Norman last night. Lot of people lost power. Weather feels amazing outside now!
I was on Kilpatrick (east side) about 8 last night and it was the hardest rain i ever recall trying to drive it. Cars were off to the side of the highway. And past Macarthur (westbound) it was almost dry.
I was 1/2 mile west of PSM, and it blew branches from trees, covered cars in leaves, lots of lightning, and that rain!
The area stretching from Payne and Lincoln Counties to the Arkansas border got the most rain from the last two nights.
