It's unfortunate that there's a driveway entrance so close to the intersection off of 36th. The property owners should consider closing off that driveway and pushing those buildings out to the corner of 36th/Walker.

omg, those no sidewalks on such a major intersection is horrible. What's taking so long with the sidewalks in the inner city, I thought that'd be a major focus (and quick/easy win).
Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
It looks like there are some small sidewalks in the plans. Pete, who is building this?
There are no sidewalks on 36th. There are no sidewalks on Walker from 30th on north. The sidewalks from 23rd to 30th on Walker are unusable at many points. There are no plans to change this that I can find.
The intersection on 36th and Walker is set for $1,215,000 in Go Bond funds for "intersection improvement" but the details of it are vague. Perhaps adding the ability to turn left when coming west on 36th.
horrible. I suspect this will change given the new council member.
Again, to me it's obvious that the densest part of the city should be first in line for sidewalks since these folks needed to use them yesterday. ......
Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
I recently heard from someone on a sidewalk committee that there are extra funds in the Better Streets Safe City pot of money for projects not yet identified. They advised neighborhood groups show up at committee meetings to lobby for some of those funds in their areas. They said that during the MAPS 3 process every neighborhood that did this (showed up) got some money for sidewalks in their area.
This development is horrible. It sucks that the last two ones were good proposals yet this sh!tty proposal had no issue getting built. :/
Walker between 23rd and the Paseo really, really should be in the front of the line for sidewalks. Not only are they unwalkable, they're dangerous. I've seen people take hard falls from tripping on jagged sidewalks or underestimate how far the fall is off some of those gigantic curbs. And it connects to walkable districts.
He's ranted quite thoroughly about it at each of the public meetings I've been to with the new councilors. I'm certain he'll do the same at council meetings and behind closed doors as well.
Love these great little quality infill projects.
Great looking infill.
The brick and the clay tile at top are fantastic on this building. The two round windows at each end seem odd but overall this is great infill for that area
loving these homages to Art Deco...this one and the one on Western are great!
I'm guessing the brick and roof tile are recycled.
