A new cafe is opening in the Plant Shoppe on Film Row, called Okay Yeah.

The Plant Shoppe is in the building just west of the Paramount Building; at the north end of the parking lot that has the huge Stephen Adams mural. Address is 705 W. Sheridan.

Looks like it will be coffee and light food and that they hope to happen soon.

Been twice and have had a few of the hand tarts they make. The Jalapeno Cactus is pretty darn good and the Sweet potato is tasty as well. They will be doing a lot of different specials each week. Definitely love this place already!

Yes, like a Pop Tart - which they can't call them that because that's a brand name. The proprietors are Chad Grubbs and Jen Semmler, who have been running the Plant Shoppe for several years now from this location. Not connected with the Okay See. It's a great spot for fantastic coffee and snacks (though they are filling), and good conversation.

I couldn't find a thread for The Plant Shoppe, but they just announced they are moving to a new space in the West Village development. The post alluded to substantial changes to Okay Yeah as well, or potentially an additional coffee shop. Look forward to both of these businesses taking a positive next step, as they are both great at what they do.

Hmm, I kind of liked their current space. But I am always glad when local places are expanding and growing up. Did they give a time frame?

I like their current space as well but have to imagine the new location will provide a lot more visibility. Last day in the current space is September 30th; I'm unsure when the West Village is supposed to open but I imagine they would do their build out as quickly as possible after being able to access their new space.

EDIT: Meant to mention that, and I'm very much reading between the lines here and have no actual information so if there is anyone in the know please correct me, it sounded like there may have been some issues with the current space, as the post talked about frustration over the past year or so, etc. Also, I believe the owners of the two businesses are married so it would make sense that if one business is moving the other may be as well.

Okay Yeah Co. and Plant Shoppe proprietors to move to expanded spot in West Village development

A popular cafe and plant shop are set to become the first commercial tenant in the West Village development directly east of the Jones Assembly and add a general store.

About two years ago, Okay Yeah Co. added their unique cafe to the Plant Shoppe which had been operation in the Paramount Building on Film Row for 3 years at the time.

Owned by husband and wife team Chad Grubbs and Jen Semmler-Grubbs, the two businesses will be making the move to an expanded 3,600 square feet in West Village's Building D, which will be the first to open in the 5-building complex.

Rebranded Stitch Cafe, Grubbs told OKCTalk that is would be very different than their current operation, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner open early 7 days a week and staying open to 11 every nice, later on Friday and Saturday.

Grubbs described the entire operation as community-minded with a high priority placed on bringing like-minded people together where they can connect through conversation. The food will focus on quality ingredients prepared with creativity. Stich will make their own bagels in-house and offer a juice bar, coffee and a full menu at mid-range prices.

Stitch will also serve hand-selected beers, a variety of wines and a mix of specialty and basic cocktails.

The Plant Shoppe will occupy the west end of the space and take advantage of a key corner and high ceilings to beautifully display the botanitc offerings. They will also be open 7 days a week.

Between the plant store and Stitch will be The Goods, a small general store selling beer, wine, sundries and to-go food items that will cater to the local residents.

An integrated parking structure in the multi-story building will be available for customers in addition to angled street parking along Sheridan and Fred Jones Avenue which is being completely rebuilt and will soon reopen.

The new West Village businesses will open this fall in conjunction with the move-in of the first apartment tenants in the building above.

Stitch will also be offering a smaller location within The Bridge church in Bricktown, offering quality coffee, in-house baked goods and a variety of sandwiches. The model will be very similar to what is now offered at Okay Yeah Co., with a July opening currently planned.

Their current locations will shut down on September 30th at the end of their lease with the Paramount.
