^We must have just missed you! Were there too. Fun place. Food was pretty good and what a place to watch a game! It was hopping - very busy! Fun atmosphere.

Something that they don't even seem to be advertising is that (as it was told to me) there are no deep freezers in the place. They want everything to be as fresh as possible.
Got to go Sunday. The food was very good. We had 2 apps and most of us got chalkers. Their version of sliders. All were good. Ready go try something different.
TVs are literally everywhere you look. Like previous posts, this will be the place to be for March madness.
It would be really cool if there were a way for those who are sitting in a booth to control the input on the TV they are looking at. One of the employees changed the input on the screens in our booth for us, but it would be really cool to have something on the table so that the patron can choose from several inputs - especially around March Madness.
We rarely ever venture north of 63rd St so probably will be awhile before we check this out, but it does look great. Way too many pictures of Carmelo though :-D
I feel like a gypsy .....wandering Edmond to Norman and Council Rd to Wellston (BBQ).![]()
. You should create a new site called NicholsHillsTalk.com. I feel sorry for you as your outlook on the City must be so narrow- you're missing so many great spots! To each their own!
anywho...
I went by Chalk last night for a couple of happy hour beers. It was pretty busy. Service was solid. Quick to take our order and never let us go dry. I'll return and I look forward to spending March madness at Chalk. I know it's gonna be slammed! The atmosphere was solid. I hope it's massively successful and they ownership decides to put Chalk II somewhere in Midtown. The concept is totally lacking for the core.
Only had a few items but food was average, nothing bad nothing great. But I did like that they have a bunch of appetizers which is good for a place like this. Beer list was tad underwhelming. As mentioned, its definitely the best spot for watching sports, a ton of tvs and all in the right spots. Never should you have to crane your neck.
But the main thing, they better fix whatever that god awful smell the restaurant had when I was in there. Must be some kind of sewer issue and it didnt help me feel good about the food or atmosphere.
Now that its been open a bit anyone been here and any new takes?
I'll watch sports here when the betting arrives.
Ordered chicken fried chicken with collared greens and the pimento wontons with honey

Chicken wasn't seasoned, and everything else was somewhat salty. It worked if I ate it altogether.
I normally don't like pimento cheese, but whatever I don't like about it was negated by the honey.
Spent most of Thursday and Friday at Chalk, drinking and watching the opening round of the NCAA tourney. Its great spot for March Madness. Food was good, as I tried a little bit of everything over the weekend. Nothing earth shattering, but I went for the TV/Game watching atmosphere, not to be a food critic. This will probably be my new spot for March madness opening rounds, and I could see myself taking in a few Thunder playoff road games/OU Football road games. Great atmosphere, good food, and TONS of TVs, with great views anywhere in the place. Not sure what else you would really need for a sports bar.
Man tought crowd. I've been a few times and have always left satisfied. They really threw themselves in the fire opening up super bowl weekend and a month or so later march madness. I think they've handled it pretty well and will learn and move forward to make it even better.
Don’t disagree but think this could change with all the traction that is present nearby - Arkansas (about to launch), Missouri and Kansas (bills introduced). NM is already up and running. Mobile betting would really the coup de gra (and could still be thru existing casinos).
Mobile is already available. Just use an offshore book. With it being legal on a federal level off shore books are no longer illegal.
