Looks like work has begun on the tenant space adjacent to Hopdoddy - any word on the tenant?

I've heard rumors of a Mi Cocina coming, no way to back it up though... possibly in the Mamasita's lot.

Why? Mi Cocina is expensive and meh.

While taste is subjective with food, Mi Cocina is very popular in the DFW area. Expensive? Not really. It is good solid Tex-Mex. I believe they have a restaurant in Tulsa?

For some reason when I do the Google search it comes up as La Casa de la Abuela.

Yes it is on 15th just east of Peoria.

I grew up eating at Mi Cocina in Dallas and really like it. No, they don't have free queso. . .

$18 for chicken fajitas? $20 for steak tacos? And they aren't special, the food is about as good as a bunch of other places with much lower prices. The room is nice and the service is good, but the food doesn't live up to that, even though the prices do.

I live in Tulsa and queso isn't free here, except at Ted's and that's not queso. Queso in Tulsa is generally queso blanco and you have to pay for it.

Those are comparable prices to Barrios and Uncle Julios, which I would compare it to.

How is there parking for three restaurants in this area? It's already very tight. Pete - do you know the available spaces serving these spaces, and NH code for restaurant parking?

I've never had trouble finding parking, at least during lunch. I'd imagine dinner service is even easier. Sometimes it takes a small walk, but there's no need for more parking.

I feel a touch of melancholy at another part of the city moving on from the life of Aubrey McClendon. But, he may well have made the same move (possibly earlier) had he lived and remained at the head of the Chesapeake empire.

Slapfish Restaurant is going in next to Hopdoddy. https://www.slapfishrestaurant.com/
I was hoping for a breakfast place or something that wouldn't directly compete for parking with Hopdoddy. That lot is going to be a madhouse!

The Slapfish menu has some intrigue, but they serve tilapia. Why??

Tilapia is a great fish. Wish they had a larger portion of it, though.

Wish it was a Bonefish Grill instead. https://www.bonefishgrill.com/

No doubt. Interesting comparing the two munu's. Seems like Slapfish is more of a lunch place with a very limited number of choices. Tacos, Burrittos, meh. While Bonefish has a broader selection of seafood and styles.
