The slightest of the slight chances of a shower or storm, mostly across N OK today and tonight.

Otherwise, hot and dry returns as we go back to normal Summer conditions here in the plains. Highs mid 90s, lows mid 70s. I don't see any promising rain chances for the next couple weeks. Hopefully we see that change as it would be disappointing to give back all this drought relief.

I have my fingers crossed that the CPC's forecast of above-average precipitation in the Southwest U.S. this fall comes to fruition. That would hopefully help down the line with maintaining storm systems headed our way out of the Four Corners region.

Slight chance of storm or two making C OK tonight, but for the most part action will stay in NW OK.

Better chances for C OK Wednesday afternoon into the night. But still, chances are not high and organization will be minimal.

We finally get a break from the wind and get a slight temperature relief.

Looking long-range, we will need to keep an eye on potential GOM tropical development, and a large storm system that will be coming into the plains around September 5th timeframe.
