Has there been a chance where Latest Posts pulls in political posts?
Has there been a chance where Latest Posts pulls in political posts?
I noticed that starting earlier today. Now I click on 'new posts' instead, it still works as expected.
When I click on the Latest Posts tab at the top of every page, it excludes the politics forum.
We made that change years ago by request.
We are doing some upgrades and fixes and there will be the occasional glitch.
Yeah,when I click on latest posts under Search I get;
; Type: Posts; New Posts
Unfortunately it only looked like it was working earlier because there were no new posts in politics at the time.
Still happening here as well. Is there an ETA on the completion of the upgrades?
Try clearing your cookies / browser history.
I am not seeing Politics posts when I use Latest Posts button but do see them if I use "New Posts" link.
I did clear cookies and history and I’m also seeing politics when I hit the latest posts button. Has been happening past 3-4 days. Not sure about new posts but don’t really want to use that as it is not sticky/fixed position like the latest posts button. Much more difficult to use when trying to quickly knock out all of the new replies like I try to do at least once or twice per day.
Click on this link and tell me if you still see posts from the Politics section:

Haha I’ll have to do it later today because I’ve now cleared all new posts. My browser has a happy plate.
It's still showing politics.
I am seeing the exact opposite, clearing cookies/cache did nothing (it's no longer the universal fix people thought it once was, but it does still help in certain cases). Latest posts shows politics, new posts does not.
I'll be the outlier and say my latest posts button is working exactly as designed.
I'm seeing politics included in latest posts (where I did not previously).
Some of you really like to argue about politics!
I see them also, but I found a good solution. I just don't click on the ones I don't want to read.![]()
Still seeing politics after clicking your link, Pete.
I don't really read them and don't click on them. But they do take up spots on the latest post list, which causes all the threads I actually like to read down the page and makes them harder to find.
That's why I like it when they are filtered out. Not because they offend my me or anything like that, it just makes it easier to see the threads I actually care about. Less junk on the page.
