Why is Pickard closed off?

I noticed the past two days that Pickard is closed off between McNamee and Boyd. Police cars were blocking both directions and they had an ambulance on site. Lots of uhaul type vehicles sitting around and also RV on the grass lots. My initial impression was that they were filming a movie but wonder if it is more related the the renaissance fair coming up this weekend. Anybody know any details on what is going on? I haven't been able to find anything online.
