The Oklahoma Club

Reading the article in the Oklahoman about the closing of the Beacon Club and it mentioned the now long gone Oklahoma Club. Sounded like a huge men's club with different restaurants and rooms. Also sounded like it was a pretty wild place. Peaked my interest as a history buff but can not find any information about It on Google. Anybody know the history of the place or have a link to info on it?

Thanks Urbanized. I enjoyed the read. Definitely was a different era. I got a little excited seeing the Hotel list on Loudenback's blog hoping it would have info on the old apt hotel that was on the property at Sheridan and Lee before it burned. I am guessing it was one of the questionable unworthy ones.

Just last week I was looking at a photo of this place and reading the history of it hanging in the Lobby of the Hart Building.
