Thread: N D Foods

    Northwest OKC N D Foods

I stopped by yesterday cause I heard their sandwiches and desserts were good. It's on Britton between May and Penn. I ordered some spinach artichoke dip, a reuben, and a german chocolate brownie.

The portions here are extremely generous. The meat they use is boars head, what that means for quality I'm not sure but that's what they use. They also really pile on the meat. Much more than what you get at Scotties, although I haven't tried their "New York" serving size. May rival Penny Hill subs in Norman if you've been there. Bottom bread never got soggy on the sandwich.

The german chocolate brownie was RICH.

If I haven't been to Scotties, I'd say this is probably the best sandwich I've had in OKC so far. I like the quantities at Scotties for their regular sandwich, and currently have no desire to try the NY serving size. The smoking/curing their own meat really shines through for them. If you haven't been to Scotties or like myself you're on the northwest side of town, this may fit the bill.

I'll try and take better pictures next week when I go to reflect the size of the sandwich .

I had lunch with a friend there on Monday and the portions were huge! I did not eat for the rest of the day and I am a big guy. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

I've only been a couple of times but that's due to my health and my twenty months in Midwest City. The food is very good and a lot more than I need to be eating. Since I have moved back to the area (Edmond), I will make it a point to have lunch there again.

NDs has been around for a long time and has always been a pretty solid difference.

The biggest difference for me between NDs and Scotties is that you can go down the street and buy Boar's Head at Homeland while Scottie's is taking the time to make things in house.
