Fusion Charcoal Grill

Tried it for lunch today and was excellent. I had seen somewhere information about this place but didn't see a thread on here. Definitely worth going. It is turkish/pakistani/halal food from brick oven and charcoal grill. It is at 3604 N May Suite E. No alcohol.

My business partner and I split a mix appetizer plate which had 7-9 different things on it as well as a mixed grill platter. It was more than enough for the two of us and we are both 250 lb plus men. We also had a turkish coffee and one other appetizer and bill was $42 which was more than fair. Nice people running the place and service was attentive.

Give it a try as I don't think you will be disappointed. The have 10 reviews on FB and four on google and all are 5 star.

We've been wondering about it since it's within walking distance from our house. The guy that cuts our hair at Hair Zone next door said Cloud Hookah was better than Fusion, but not sure of his tastes in food, seems pretty knowledgeable, but you never know. Haven't tried Cloud Hookah yet due to them being dinner-only, or Fusion. How would you say Fusion rates against Sheesh Mahal, Curry-n-Kabob, Jerusalem Mediterranean, or the other Pakistan/halal places that I can't remember right now?

I'm slightly disheartened that I see a pizza, a burger, and a cheesesteak on the top of their fb site. I've been wanting Halal food though and will give this a go.

We've been wondering about it since it's within walking distance from our house. The guy that cuts our hair at Hair Zone next door said Cloud Hookah was better than Fusion, but not sure of his tastes in food, seems pretty knowledgeable, but you never know. Haven't tried Cloud Hookah yet due to them being dinner-only, or Fusion. Haven't tried a lot so not really the guy for comparison but what we had was fresh and was excellent. It all looked freshly prepared.

I've stopped by today. It's a rebrand of istanbul cafe, which was also highly rated.

Do they make the charcoal on site . . . or do they import it? Is it organic hardwood charcoal from new growth forest? or is it more along the lines of Kingsford? Is the food cooked to standards? Is the line long? Does one have to listen to train horns? . . . or can one simply hop into a railroad car on a train to Fort Worth Texas? =~)

Yep, the Hair Zone guy said it was the same folks and same recipes. Never ate at Istanbul either. So how does it compare to the places I listed, if you've been to them? Our budget doesn't really allow us to go to lots of places that we're not really sure about anymore, we have to know how they stack up before we go and trusting random strangers on Yelp just doesn't cut it a lot of the time.

Since we live about a block or two from there, I can tell you no train horns, and no tracks close enough to hop on one, for that you'll have to go to Iguana or Nashbird. Or down on 10th where they apparently just run locomotives and a few cars back and forth very slowly across the crossing for a very long time. May not get to FW, though, may just get a few blocks down the rails...

I wasn't a fan of them either, but glad to know about ZamZam, thx, they're on our list to go to next time we want Mediterranean food.
