My roommate and I have taken up fishing this past month and have really been enjoying it, but we really only have one little pond that we fish. We have our fishing license but don't have the city lake permits and were wondering if any other fishers out there knew of any other decent ponds around the city that you don't need the lake permit to fish at.

No but the fishing at the South Lakes Park East pond is worth getting the city permit for..... I've not fished there since the West pond was opened for fishing but I've caught, and seen, a lot of nice fish out of the east.
