And thank goodness for another chicken chain!
I'm not a chicken fan (there's a reason it's called "foul"), we could use more in the Mid-Del area. I think there's just one, Raising Cane's, so if it gets too crowded in Edmond, send them our way. And I should mention that I'm talking about chicken strip joints, not the KFC's, Churches, et al.

I did include KFC and Chick-Fil-A. But close by we also have a Raising Canes, Slick Chickens, Chicken Express, Popeyes, not to mention the places which serve chicken strips like McDonald's, Wendy's, Whataburger, and Long John Silvers.
The Guthrie KFC closed suddenly this week. The only other chicken joint is Golden Chick at the I-35 junction. The latter had all the momentum. Peeps love them some Golden Chick. (I don't care for it).
Rendering for the PDQ Building
Here is the latest lease plan:
Mmmmm torchys
Took this one yesterday:
All that asphalt! Nice.
Great spot for donuts in the snow!
Not that I've ever done that...
This would be a more attractive development if/when they implement the original site plan:
^
That is exactly what they are doing.
But still oceans of parking and things never look as good as renderings.
The whole place does look a whole lot better already.
Oceans of parking yes, but lots more landscaping as shown will help soften it at least. Not ideal, but certainly a big improvement.
The key will be installing dozens of new trees as shown on the plans. Hope that happens.
They are going to need a good chunk of parking when Torchy's opens. Every time I've been to one in Texas it is always packed.
Did Five Guys get moved next to Torchys?
Also, PDQ is killing it
I've been to the Torchy's in Norman several times and it's always pretty busy. Good flavors, and they have the Maine Root branded sodas like at Cultivar. Looking forward to having one just a couple of miles from my house!
