Wait, so the fire department cracks down on them pretty good or you do? And are you pretty sure they are illegal or are they factually illegal, ergo citations were actually issued.

One thing I am certain, I'm confused.

Haha, the wording was confusing. NO, I DID NOT call the city or the fire department, THEY came to my DT complex and issued citations/warnings. They DO NOT mess around with fire codes DT. I didn't have a grill, but wanted one, but several of my neighbors were cited and had to remove. We always had a common area grill per code. I remember this being a big deal publicly a year or maybe two ago, and Councilwoman Meg Salyer spoke out on the issue. I'll dig up the info when I get a chance.
