"Existing retail vacancy rates are down," CB Richard Ellis’ Inman said. "Traditionally, it had been around 11 percent. Right now, it's about nine percent. Rent pushes up as demand does, but right now it's not at a significant margin."

Inman said to look for area newcomers like Marshall's department store at 240 Penn Park in the late fall and Fuddruckers restaurant at I-240 and Pennsylvania Avenue and in the Quail Springs area.


Additionally, Jack-In-The-Box restaurants are in the site-selection process, he said.
