DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police said pantyhose worn by a robber saved his life Thursday morning. Police said Matthew Frederick Tandy, 33, robbed a Walgreens at 104 E. Euclid Ave. dressed as a woman. Police said an officer pursued Tandy, who was wielding a knife.

Police said that when Tandy lunged at the officer, the officer nearly fired his gun, but Tandy's pantyhose got caught on a chicken wire fence. Police charged Tandy with robbery and harassment of a police officer.
I guess there are some benefits to cross-dressing.
