Anyone have any good roofer recommendations? Not the "ambulance chasing" types who bombard neighborhoods after storms. I'm talking a legit roofer who isn't looking to dig their pockets into an adjuster's pants anytime they walk by.
Thanks

Pahdz,
There are several good roofers in town that have been here for a long time. I have had two installed by Elliott Roofing and I must be happy since I called them a second time. I had hail damage about 12 years ago and again in August, 2013. I have no complaints and their recommendation to me about paying a little more for Malarkey Legacy class IV impact rated shingles has already paid off. Most insurance companies (mine is State Farm) give a 25 percent discount on your home owners insurance if you install these or a comparable class IV shingle. Also, I would call at least two (three would be better) for an estimate. If they are all reputable, their products and service are probably about the same.

I've got a house that's been added onto several times and as such, has a funky roof with lots of challenges. A couple of roofers failed me. AAA Roofing took care of replacing what didn't work with what did.
I used Rhette Poindexter on my house after last year's storm and he was fair and competent. Had a problem later and he came back out and fixed quickly. (Not a leak but I have four turrets and one of the turrets didn't look lined up right).
I called him last week to check on two of my rental houses to see if I needed to make claim after the hail storm and he went by and looked at them. After looking at them, he said there were only a few damaged shingles and not enough to justify a claim, Fixed the shingles and trimmed some trees rubbing on the roofs for less than $200 for the two roofs combined.

Everytime I have dealt with him, I felt he was fair and honest and I will continue to use him.
I would use Red River Roofing. They have offices/warehouse in Edmond. They were recommended to me. My current roof I put on myself with the help of a friends brother. He moved out of state. Age and the thought of doing it myself in the next few years. Oh no! I had them change out the roof jacks a few years ago. I used 30 yr shingles but roof jacks don't last that long. The guy who came out asked me why I don't want to do the job myself. I just had too much other stuff to get done. They do nice work at a fair price. May not be the cheapest job but they stand behind their work and will be here down the road.
We rent, and the owners of the house are the owners of the property mgmt company that used to just manage it, but they bought it from the owner last year. They used Legacy Roofing (which they probably use for the dozens of houses they manage), don't know their number. Started off weird - they dumped their load in the driveway a day early, but called to apologize and make sure it wasn't in our way and ask if I could put the valuable/little stuff in the garage. They did the job quite well from what I can see, very professional...
I used Impact Roofing a couple years ago and got the hail-resistant roofing. They were recommended by my insurance agent (and family friend). I was very happy with their work. I have since moved, but I will call them if I ever have to replace my current roof.
