Lots of students said they felt it here in Norman. I did not.
I'm in class at OU and felt it as well.
A picture of a Cushing home where bricks were shaken off the entrance, blamed on the Oct. 10, 4.5 earthquake centered there.
We were in OK County courthouse when it happened. judge felt it, but I did not. A witness sitting outside the courtroom said he saw courthouse doors shaking but didn't know what it was.
Well that was a sudden jolt.
You're fast!!
S. OKC -- felt like 3 sudden waves pushing my bed. Was not a jolt for me.
Yeah it was weird. A quick rough jolt that swung the furniture pretty good and then just a low rumble.
Interesting. I'm wide awake and didn't notice anything at all in NW OKC.
Laying on the couch in the living room doing some work and felt a thud hit the house (east side of Moore). Very quick...almost as if a vehicle had struck it. Definitely one of the more noticeable ones in awhile (for me, at least).
West side Moore. Bunch of us still partying and none of us felt anything

3.8 NE of Shawnee. The Feel it map tells the store. Mostly Eastern and SE Metro areas felt it...not many anywhere else.
Appears there were two more this morning. I didn't feel them.
I just felt a fairly good one, about 3:44. I also heard a cracking type of sound.

Turned out to just be a 2.8, but it was in my backyard. Actually, approximately one mile due East of my house.

This chart shows how dramatically the number of earthquakes skyrocketed in 2014. Who knows what they will be like in 2015? On the short term side, for the last week, the frequency of earthquakes declined after being well up there. To soon to call it a definite trend, though.
Oklahoma earthquakes are coming out of a lull, and earthquakes are spreading back to north TX: Eight Earthquakes Rattle North Texas Tuesday | NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
That's just silly cause we just had one about 20 minutes ago.
Right. A 4.0 near Guthrie: Recent Oklahoma Earthquakes
Just out of curiosity, will the new parking garages on the Preftakes block be built to withstand 5.0+ quakes? What are the current buildings in OKC designed to handle without structural damage?
