    Default Attendance in New Orleans

Wanted to make sure everyone knew attendance in New Orleans for the Lakers game was sold out. 17,700+. See, they can support the NBA. Let's quit being looters and give them their team back. We can get another one.

Selling out three games in an arena that officially seats 17,200 is good; however, not great.

    New Orleans averaged:

    Source: ESPN NBA Attendance.com

Oklahoma City finished the year at NO. 11 with an average attendance of 18,168--this included the games in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Norman which pulled down the actual figure.

Oklahoma City would have easily eclisped 18,500 which would have put us in 9th.

    New Orleans attendance:

Inagural year: 2002-03--15,650 finished 19th out of 29 teams
    2nd year 2003-04--14,332 finished 28th out of 29 teams
3rd year 2004-05--14,221 finished last out of 30 teams

New Orleans is not ready to support an NBA team.

The Hornets should be allowed to move to Oklahoma City and New Orleans should look at future expansion five years from now.

If the Hornets return to New Orleans and they have a disaster year in attendance during 2007-08 season; look for New Oleans to new get an NBA team.
