This ad caught my eye in this weeks Gazette. Makes me wonder if the bottle is going to be repainted or they just selling billboards on the sides. I didn't e-mail the guy to ask.

I meant to post this last night since the owner (a woman by the way) is a friend of mine and posted it on her facebook yesterday. She said she would prefer to have an advertiser of something liquid (eg milk, etc.).
Interesting that it was a 918 number, what is that about?
I put a call into them , I'm highly interested in advertising on this.
It's concerning - not sure a 918 person is going to be very sensitive in this matter.
I'm all for creative advertising - I've worked in advertising - but to me there is something wrong with placing advertising on the side of such a landmark. I wish they wouldn't do it.
Advertising is quite appropriate - that is the historic use (I believe it started with Townley's). I suspect some would worry however if it became an advertisement for cell phones or a casino.
Advertising may be appropriate in the case of Townleys or Braums. Those are, after all, dairies. But, as you surmise, Steve, a casino or a cell phone company would be shlocky looking.
I believe the Milk Bottle building pre-dates Townleys. My dad was born in 1919 (now deceased) and lived in OKC most of his life. He told me years ago the building was around when he was a child. He also mentioned the name but I do not remember. Any one know the history?
The owner is from OKC and lived here until she got married to at Tulsan a few years ago. The kil of her e-mail address should give you a clue as to who she is.
No clue, ccokc, but it's good to hear it's owned by someone with OKC ties.
Nope, no clue... who is it?
Their group contacted me to advertise for POPS...we passed. I also heard that building's lease is coming up this summer.
I think the city oughta nab it up and paint Got MAPs on it
(I keeed, I keeed)
I drove by the Milk Bottle building last Thursday and they were painting it white.
I was going to lease the bottle, but my employer agreed to it too late. I'm not sure who got it, but I know they got a 5 year lease. POPS was approached before me but they turned it down.
