Could we get a section for Environmental issues?

Yeah, maybe a OKC Sustainability section or Going Green section. I imagine we could probably nix the "Boredom to Bedroom" section since no one has commented in their since last June, and it was barely used.

    Totally agreed.

OKC Metro Talk... it works fine.

Considering the fact that there are forums here which don't seem to ever get posts, a new forum is exactly what we don't need.

    Amen.

Who would post on it or care? We keep sending Inhofe back, apparently the majority of Oklahoma does not really care about these issues.

What could an environment discussion section hurt? If it doesn't get any traffic, pull it after three or six months. And at least OKC Talk folks couldn't say it hadn't been done...

One never knows what will happen until one tries.

Start some environment threads. See if anyone cares.

If my suspicions are confirmed and discussions like...

Person 1: "Hey everyone... I recycled today... I totally separated the glass from the plastic."

Person 2: "OMG OMG OMG: How about the recyclable metals!!!???"

Person 1: "OMGWTFBBQ!!! No, I like toootally forgot about the metals! ROFL!"

(other than that, what doesn't already fit in other forums?)

I'm going to guess that most people that care enough about it to say something in the first place will comment on the overall aspect of recycling... likely the political views, strategic planning, and ways/means to make it happen in their area.

That is clearly not an interesting subject to some, but if a popular groundswell is detected... well, you just never know.
