Spaghetti Warehouse building (I'm sure it has another name) looks sooo good with windows!
Steves article on this hotel states opening in 18 mos. Someone finally realized oh crap there's a convention center coming and I have land on the streetcar route that leads to it....
Excavation and site prep appears to be complete. I bet we start seeing major action next week.
Any update on this project?
From a few days ago... They have been working away for weeks trying to get the foundation ready before they go vertical.
This will be such a great project for Bricktown and Downtown OKC. Great density and land use, right on the streetcar line.
Taken Sunday:
I truly hope OKC is able to rebrand the current Renaissance. It is a large hotel in the heart of downtown. Would be a shame for it to go the way of the NW Expressway Marriott (before it got rebranded).
But doubletree is Hilton?
the long held rumor has alwasy been Westin but we shall see ..
Is this going to have any first floor retail/restaurants? It seems like blocks of hotels are bad for walkability, but obviously helps the local businesses.
Construction crane going up:
This is going up fast now. Multiple columns have been poured and first level elevator core has been poured.
