Please look into creating a Military forum.

I'm sure there are many others on this board who would like to discuss their time and experiences in the service. In addition to that, I would like to be able to answer any questions about the military to anyone who is interested in joining. I'm not a recruiter, but I'm certainly an advocate of a young adult joining the military, especially the Air National Guard.

Would anyone else be interested in having a Military forum dedicated to those who have served, are serving, or thinking about joining?

That is a great idea.

There are many forums military use on the net but none that I know of for local military. Military people do a lot for the community when they get off post/base. Most business' think of the Civilian Contractors when you mention Tinker or Sill because they want that money generated by those contracts. I am retired military and feel each service; active, guard or reserve has it own way of defending this country, one is not better then the other.
