  1. Default Hornets 84, Mavs 81

Sorry, this is a double post. I didn't see this location earlier and posted it originally in the "Misc' area of the sports forums. My apologies for the double post.
    -----------------

I didn't see a Hornets forum, so I guess Hornets stuff belongs in the miscellaneous category.

Even though it was a preseason game (and even though only about 13,600 attended), how long has it been since the Hornets have beaten the Mavericks!

Here are a few pics ...

... and, last but not least ...

13,600 isn't bad for a pre-season game. Heck, that's more than New Orleans brought out for most season games.

I agree. I'm too used to those packed houses during regular season, I guess.

Mainly from ESPN, some from NBA ... the NBA's box scores don't always post preseason attendance stats and sometimes ESPN's don't, either... these are the attendance numbers I've found so far ...

    10/9 Toronto @ Washigton ... 10,902
    10/10 Philadelphia v. Phoenix @ Cologne, Germany ... 13,763
    10/10 Boston at Cleveland ... 17,784 (woah!)
10/10 Orlando at Charlotte ... unknown
    10/10 Detroit v. Miami @ San Juan, P.R. ... 13,700
    10/10 Lakers v. Utah @ Fresno ... unknown
    10/10 Dallas at Hornets ... 13,647
    10/10 Memphis @ Houston ... 11,913

Comparatively, the 2 preseason games in Okc last year had the following attendance:

    10/12/06 v Denver ... 14,475
    10/27/06 v Houston ... 15,063

In this context, we are a bit below our preseason mark last year, but, then, that was a 1st of its kind in Okc. I'm expecting that Okc will have attendance this year which equals or exceeds last year's.
