Default Downtown construction on W. Main

Does anybody know anything about the building directly east of Coney Island & Pizza Town is going to be or who's doing it? I noticed it a few weeks ago, I just thought one of the vacant storefronts was being remodeled for a new tenant. Now it looks like the entire building from head to toe is getting a makeover. This is good news, this building has been vacant for years.

Metro, do you know the address of the property? If so, you could probably look it up on the county assessor's website. I'm sure that if we knew who owned it, we'd have a good idea what was being done with the land.

    Hi,

It's 420 West Main, the building that houses the majority of the City offices. They are are cleaning and and doing some updating, not exactly sure of the details. I heard the City received some sort of grant for the project.

The building I'm talking about isn't the City Office complex, but a building that was primarily vacant. Perhaps both are being updated?

Did it have a green facade?

Yes, I think so but not positive. Will have to check it out. I know at least one store-front had an olive green facade and has been vacant for years.

Steve. Thanks for letting me call you. Again, thanks for your continued coverage of downtown/bricktown. Keep up the good work.
