SUBJECT: Police Academy Graduates 41 Recruits
On May 4, 2006, Class 122 of the Oklahoma City Police Department graduated 41 recruits in a ceremony held at the Civic Center. Two recruits previously called up for active military service graduated with Class 122. One started with Class 119 and the other from Class 120. Both were unable to attend Class 121 due to their military status.
They graduated as members of Recruit Class 122. This academy class began their training on November 4, 2005. Their training consisted of 984 total hours of training in various areas of Law Enforcement Duties. The major blocks of training included Custody and Control, Criminal Investigations, Community Relations, Law Enforcement Driver Training, Firearms, Legal Matters Patrol Techniques, Physical Fitness Training and Traffic Accident Investigation.
The youngest recruit in Class 122 is 21 years old. The oldest recruit is 39 years old. The average age for Recruit Class 122 is 26 years of age. 21 recruits have college degrees and two have advanced degrees. 17 have military experience and four have prior law enforcement experience.
