The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) has teamed up with the Hornets to offer donors an exciting opportunity. Donate at any of the OBI donor centers (listed after clicking the link) starting February 6th to get your complimentary tickets (while supplies last) and t-shirt:

Excellent idea, Intrepid. I usually give platelets instead of whole blood, but this would be a great time to give. Congrats to OBI and Hornets for teaming up for this, and for allowing us the opportunity to get some freebies when we do give.

I just got back from donating. I got my two free tickets for the game next Monday, Feb. 13th.

Here's out the ticket giveaway is working:

The first 2000 tickets will be for the game on 02/13/06. It's first come, first served.

After all of those tickets are given out, then vouchers will be given out for either the March 23rd or the March 31st games.

I encourage everyone to go donate. I went to the Norman OBI center, but there are several. Look at the original post for the link to the OBI web site.

I'd call first. I have friends who work there and they ran out yesterday. They may be buying more, but it did say "while supplies last."

That is, IF you are only doing it for the ticket. If, on the other hand, you would just like to save three lives with your one donation....then by all means, go ahead and donate!@

I woke up with a sore throat and asked about that, they said better to wait until I'm 100% healthy. I didn't want to give blood if I'm coming down with a cold or virus so I'll try again in the near future.

Indeed don't just do it for the tickets, especially if your sick. Do it because it helps others and its healthy for you anyways. On the other hand, I went on my lunchbreak and got my blood changed, and got Hornets tickets for tomorrow nights game and a Hornets T-shirt.

Tomorrow night's game? An OBI rep told me that the first set of tickets were for the game on 2/13, and mine is for 2/13.

I'm not doubting you, I'm just wanting to clarify that people could get other games besides what I posted.

I gave at the Norman location as it is much closer to me since I'm in S. OKC.
