SW 29th Street Commercial Corridor

i had been hearing and reading articles in the news about a sw 29th street organization seeking
to develop this busy, vibrant commercial corridor. it is no surprise, by now, that sw 29th street is
perhaps south okc's most dynamic economic zone. according to this article

a BID is in the works, but if you look at okc's website, there still isn't a formal BID in place for sw 29th.

I wonder if anyone has thought about funneling in all the commercial development along sw 29th into capitol hill, for example, or even merging the two
districts since they are so close to each other and run in parallel axis and even linking them to downtown via the core to shore developments.
although, maybe, what has created the heavily trafficked commercial significance of sw 29th is the fact that it forms a perfect east-west axis that links
i-35 to i-44 and all the economic activity runs along this axis. although the intersection on sw 29th and western is perhaps the busiest and that may eventually
be significant because it is just a walk away from wheeler district. by the way, i'm very surprised that oncue has not set up shop anywhere along sw 29th,
with all the car traffic in the area both day and night.
