Q Clothier and Rye 51, Dallas-based men's clothing stores, have signed a lease to open dual-concept store in Classen Curve.

Based in Dallas, Q Clothier features modern custom clothing from a huge fabric library, while sibling Rye 51 offers clients a unique collection of contemporary sportswear, denim, accessories, leather goods, apothecary and shoes.

Rye 51 also offers a full whiskey bar.

The business was founded in 2003 by Raja Ratan who built upon his family’s tailoring legacy to bring custom clothing to a retail level. Rye 51 debuted alongside Q Clothier in 2011.

Their Dallas location is located on fashionable McKinney Avenue and the only other dual-concept store is located in the West Ave development in the River Oaks area of Houston.

After it's sale in 2013 to Columbus-based WP Glimcher, Classen Curve continues to fill up it's few remaining spaces. Glimcher has brought in Kendra Scott Jewelers, Impeccable Pig, Aveda, West Elm and Zoe's Kitchen, which just opened last week.

WP Glimcher also owns Nichols Hills Plaza and the vacant land between it and Classen Curve.

Nichols Hills Plaza is also starting to fill, with leases to Pops and Provision Kitchen and a letter of intent with Trader Joe's for the old Crescent Market space.

Additionally, plans are being finalized for new development on the land with letters of intent from REI, Restoration Hardware and Arhaus.

I stopped by to check it out after lunch at Republic. Very cool store, a lot of brands on the casual side you won't find elsewhere in OKC. The suiting part is fully customizable, they have book after book of options, they do suits, blazers, shirts, and custom shoes. I hope it does well, but I somewhat fear that they're at the top end of the price spectrum and it may be a tough sell here. I might get a suit, though.

This store looks to be right what a cosmopolitan city needs, but, my concern is like yours, has OKC moved beyond jeans and cowboy boots and hats to a different level of grooming and attire. I am not so sure. OKC still in many regards e.g. dining, clothing, entertainment, housing, wants to be considered big league but on a budget. OKC needs to increase its income levels, disposible income and entertainment options that warrant fine dining and more formal and/or not casual (jeans and khakis attire.

There is a reason they put it where they did, the people that spend 200 bucks on a new shirt live within a stones throw. They will have no problem keeping the doors open.

OKC has a good number of good men's stores that focus on high price points. But none that focus on the more trendy stuff. I think this will do very well, just as it does in it's other locations in Texas.

Mr. Ooley's is very expensive. Lots of Armani and custom clothing. And they stayed in business all through the last oil bust.

OKC has a great tradition of a lot of fine men's stores and I worked at one all through college: Orbach's. And of course, there is just a tiny fraction of nice men's stores in town compared to women's.

Q/Rye does have some very cool stuff, that you won't find elsewhere. I plan on doing a suit and possibly some shirts there, so I'm a believer. It's just as dcsooner said above, I'm not sure that OKC is quite trendy enough on the men's side yet. I hope it takes off.

This is a great addition to OKC. (Much needed as well) Like posted above, OKC has its fair share of upscale/high end clothing stores, that are mostly independently owned and aren't frequented by the masses. But they remain, "Out of sight, and out of mind" for the majority of the consumers here in OKC, that for the most part still consider an OU/OSU T-shirt, jean shorts, and crocs a well put together ensemble.

I will be excited to check out their denim selection. I have been buying my jeans from Johnstons/Section 37 in Wichita, I am sure there are good options here but I never really looked.

Thanks, I don't necessarily make a special trip to Wichita for nice jeans, just so happens that my inlaws always by me a really nice shirt and tie from that place almost every year and I go exchange it for a nice well fit pair of jeans from brands I've never heard of, but fit like a glove.

Yep, all their $200+ jeans can be bought for less than $100 and it's all very organized and easy to maneuver.
