Route 66 Inn

Saw an article a few days ago on Newsok.com that the Route 66 Inn at Meridian and I-40 is going to be tore down because of maitenance and structural issues. Personally I won't miss it. It's one of the ugliest motels in the city. Cya! Does anyone have any idea or know if anything will be built in it's place or on the lot next to it?

I pass this every day on my way to work and agree that it needs to go. As for its future after demolition, I do not know. I know the empty site on the corner where the Magnuson used to be will eventually be some new Hilton hotel. They did not demolish the little convention center that was a part of the property, so I'm guessing it will be incorporated into the new building.
