    Midtown Jerky.com

Yet another local retailer coming to Midtown, this time the first brick-and-mortar store for Jerky.com.

They are going into a previously abandoned 1,200 square foot building at 918 N. Hudson and plan to be open in August.

In addition to all types of gourmet jerkeys, they sell other snacks like popcorn and pretzels.

From catch 22. You have to think they'll be open before Black Friday. They've really done a nice job here:

Waiting for the next ice storm. Jerky should be a necessity along with bread and milk.

If these are the same guys I'm thinking of they have all kinds of exotic varieties. I remember the wild boar being one of my favorites.

Thanks to Plutonic Panda for the photo. They have been moving in and setting up, but still no sign:

I'm no longer convinced this is still for jerky.com. Tenants have been moved in for a few weeks, but it looks more like offices/cubicles and not retail space like it once looked. There is no signage, and I no longer see the jerky.com mini vehicle that used to regularly park there. I suppose it could be a fluke, but I'm wondering if someone made them an offer they couldn't refuse?

The do a ton of Internet sales, and I would guess their largest segment of business will remain online. If web content management and online sales fulfillment is a large part of what they are doing in this location, it would explain a seemingly disproportionate office to retail space ratio.

It's possible/likely that this location primarily supports their online presence, and that the walk-in aspect of it is just an added revenue stream AND a convenience for locals who keep wanting to swing by their houses (or wherever they have been conducting business heretofore) to pick up some wild boar jerky.

A grand opening that coincides with H&8 this month would be nice!

    Waiting for the sign!

Hello, OKCTalk...I can't believe you guys are following the progression of this thing so closely! Thank you for the interest!

918 North Hudson Ave IS Jerky.com as our first store! There are minimal desks and officey-type stuff...just a bunch of jerky, meat snacks and our other snacks.

It's been a long, loooong road to get here as our General Contractor was able to turn what should have been a 2-3 month job into a 7-8 month job. So, it hasn't been exactly smooth or frustration-free. Sorry for the delays and the missed deadlines.

We are currently operating out of the location as we continue to get the place ready for our Grand Opening (Late March - Early April) and we are working on getting the sign wrapped up and mounted by the end of the month. Until then, feel free to swing in and say 'hi', to just check the place out or even to heckle us, if you want. We are usually here during business hours m-f...so stop in, if you want!

Thanks again for all of your interest and following the progress. We are thrilled to be at this location and to be a part of a community that doesn't exist solely on the inter-webs.

    Genuinely,

    Douglas Patrick Iske
    Proprietor
    Jerky.com
