wow... never saw that coming *lol*
It makes one wonder .... are the streets of heaven paved with gold, or does it just seem that color due to all the snake eyes?
And here I thought all those reality shows were rigged.
Textbook example of Darwinism. Ironic.
I suppose we should all be glad that this Steve Irwin wannabee --on a spiritual plane--wasn't a radical Islamist.
If he was, he might have been knitting little suicide vests for the snakes and turning them loose on Airplanes, Highways and Shopping Malls. Instead of just being dumbass dead, himself.
["Brother Manny! Did you see Brother Mo the other day?"
"No, can't say that I did . . ."
"I don't know why, but he looked as nervous as Steve Irwin in a tank full of manta rays."
"Probably stressed out from all the carpal tunnel stuff involved in knitting those snake vests by hand."
"You want to call Sister Adele and see if she wants to work all this into her burlesque revival tent show?"
"Good idea . . . I wonder if Sid Caesar is still available . . ."]
Those kooks are misusing the scribal gloss in the last portion of the last
chapter of Mark. It's not a commandment. The Scripture is that God will
protect believers as long as they are truly doing what He says they should do.
Paul was bitten, shipwrecked and beaten. He survived until his purpose was
fulfilled.
I remember hearing an interview on NPR about this guy.
I never saw the show...sounds like the law of averages finally caught up with him.
Snake-Handling Preachers Open Up About 'Takin' Up Serpents' : NPR
I lived in North Georgia for a period of time and there was a snake handling church not that far away and I always wanted to go see it but better sense took over, at least on that occasion.
Make stupid choices pay stupid prices.
