Has anyone heard of this? I believe I saw a sign on the marquis at 39th and MacArthur...in the area of Jersey Mike's, that Alfredo's Mexican restaurant was coming in.

I think you posted in the wrong thread man, maybe try pm'img Pete or MMM and asking them to move this to appropriate category.
Alfredos is similar to Ted's. but IMO, better. They have locations in Moore, Edmond, and Yukon already. If you haven't tried it already, do it. you'll be impressed
There are already two really good Okie Mex places nearby: Able's at 50th & MacArthur and Casa Perico at 63rd & Meridian.

I agree about Alfredo's. It is slightly better than Ted's but doesn't have near the hype so I've been able to eat there without 30 minute waits.
We eat at the Alfredo's in Edmond quite a bit. We really like it. It does get really crowded though, especially on Fridays, of course. We've had to wait many times between 15-30 minutes, but it's worth the wait.
You won't get in the Moore location in 30 mins on a Thursday,Friday ,or Saturday night
I'll plug Alfredo's too. We initially became fans with the Weatherford location which is now closed. Yes, it is Ted's-like.
We also enjoy Los Amigos which is a block or two north of 39th on MacArthur. Hope all of these places have continued success.
is this going in the corner of that strip mall where Cocina De Mino (and a Luby's at the other end) used to be?
Looks like it will be on the SE corner of 39th and Mac Arthur.
Just got a brochure in the mail advertising a new Alfredos Mexican Cafe in Warr Acres. 3800 N MacArthur.I think they have higher quality Mexican food than say a Chelinos. The one we usually go to in Yukon is always packed. This one is right around the corner from us.

no reason for me to even try it when Abels is ~1 mile up the road
For me Abels is no bueno.
Alfredo's high quality closer to Teds than anything else.
If this is the same thing as the one on Broadway/33rd in Edmond. Then yes it is good. Better bang for buck than Teds (why does everyone in OKC have a fascination with that place?!).
Also, Casa Perico on 63rd & Meridian is pretty darn good.
Yes! Very good. I've eaten there several times and haven't been
disappointed. Abel's (Ah-Bel) is good,, too. I like it better than
Pericos (Parakeets) but only because it's not the usual Tex Mex. Pericos
is very good. You won't be disappointed with Perico's.
But, I like Los Amigos best of all. The reason is because it reminds me
of El Charritos. El Charritos is, as far as I'm concerned, the watershed
of Tex Mex in OKC.
Hey, El Charrito may have been the worst Tex Mex in the world but it's
what I enjoyed once a month for years.
And in the Palacios Apartments. We ate there about twice a month.
Jorge was the Maitre 'D. I thought he looked like Danny Thomas. I
saw him about 20 years ago.
I remember some of the the entree names. Each was proceeded by

The nachos consisted of about 12 chips with some melted cheddar
and a slice of jalapeno. We were fascinated with them!
