    That is great news...

Must be related to the location in Midwest City:

I believe it was announced that this is going to be a restaurant named Basil Mediterranean Cafe.

    They are planning an expansion:

Nice.... I don't know what their dinner crowd is like but it can be difficult finding a table in there during their lunch rush.

Good to hear they are expanding. My wife and I were hitting it pretty frequently when we lived in the area for awhile. I don't recall the guys name that owns/runs it but he was always super friendly when I would go in to grab it to-go and we always thought it was pretty good and very affordable.

    Expanding their dining room.

Now they need to bring the sidewalk closer to the building, separate it from 23rd with landscaping, and remove that legacy curb cut. Step 1 (of 490) to making 23rd pedestrian friendly!

I walked most of 23rd between Western and Robinson a few nights ago and there was trash and weeds everywhere.

This is a big problem just about everywhere in OKC. More trashcans (that actually get emptied instead of left to overflow, if there are any at all) would go a long way.

I'd be happy to pick up trash if there was someplace to put it and I know the cans would get emptied on a regular basis.

There used to be that guy who cleaned up 23rd but they ran him off when they rehabbed the building where Hurts Donuts is now (had been his home and cleaning supply depot). I hope he's ok, whereever he ended up.

Family Dollar parking lot is the absolute worst for this.

Im still sad that they left MWC. All that's there is Arkrpolis so all you can get is deep fried fatty crap. LaGreek is only open for Tinker lunch so its not any help. I ended up at Zorbas this weekend out of proximity to the place, and forgot how underwhelming it is. I really want some good mediterranean back in my area...wahhhhh.

The next closets place to me is just south of 240 on Western and it's prices dont match the food.

Looks like its a drive to 19th in Moore for me

If you are referring to the place on the east side of the road in the strip center...it looked closed the last several times I have driven by.

If you're in the area again, go a little further south to Mediterranean Imports and Deli. Especially on a Friday because the hot special is their salmon. It's absolutely incredible and one of my favorite dishes in the city. I've never been disappointed there.

This renovation turned out very nicely, IMO. Building got a new paint job and some nice exterior lightning.
