dude was a beast. and had more sacks in a season than most did in a year... too bad they didn't keep the stat of QB sacks until near the end of his career because he was the one who made it need to become a state

I was just old enough to understand football and become a fan in the mid-late 60s. Deacon Jones was amazing. He did things that no one had done before. Like moving an offensive lineman out of the way by just a slap to the side of the helmet. He was at the time, and probably would be now, one of the best defensive players ever.
